How can I reuse or recycle clothing patterns?

Carol sent to tell us an e-Mail:

I often see huge bins of clothing patterns at thrift stores. The most helpless out-of-date or missing Anweisungen.Ich you have in the past as packing material but was wondering if it was all other uses.Seems like it has to be some use for the tissue art paper.

I have just started material samples, but I have already a small stack of designers transparent paper squares of that excess bits of paper from the edges of the pattern aufgebaut.Wenn I more artistic or less clumsy, I'd imagine was that I could make an interesting (low power)-Lampenschirm, by layering you a frame or even a privacy shade will Panel for a window - but since I'm not I keep in an envelope bag in my sketchbook for when I need to trace.

Many people seem to decorative decoupage projects - such as decoration little boxes, gift tags or furniture to use (I can't find the images now but I'm sure I've seen, treated a sewing table in an old pattern) .Denken you a kind of sealer use, so you not wet and/or tear.

They are also used for just about any tissue paper craft - the only "problem" is not meant bright tissue Papier.Das the somewhat muted color compared to most, you can not see great though - pale flowers can look fantastic whether as a bunch of flowers or mini fairy Lightshades.

In practice, I like Carol's idea of using you as a packaging material and you gift could also be used as delicate gift wrapping for handmade projects.

Any other suggestions?
