On the front page of the Vancouver Sun, part 1 this morning was a very interesting study of sharks. Today was worldwide and locally on the decline.
The Sun says, "a new research paper shows, there are 28 species of sharks in Canada's oceans - more than half of you found the coast b.c. - the evaluation common Dogfish until to exotic 12 to the International Union for conservation of nature (IUCN) red list and another seven as large white and Hammerhaie.Dieser are 28 species as vulnerable as near threatened."
Also, the Sun postulate on why Ocean shark population is declining, "the driving factor is major Asian demand for expensive shark fin soup - strictly a status symbol, the fins, providing no Geschmack.Zwischen 26 and 73 million sharks are estimated to be a year for their fins, an unsustainable harvest are traded by every measure."
It is a site that really interesting live sharks www.vancouversun.com/sharks which is including a link to a Google map of where tied to the history and links to external websites with more information.
One of the most informative news articles I've read recently.
