How can I reuse or recycle old blankets?

We have leaves & these and Springs & down-covered blankets itself but not intact.

I thought about duvets last week - not only because I much of Thursday wrapped in one and the rest of the week spent wish I was wrapped up in one, but also because I saw this vacuum and blind tutorial. Granted, it's for a quilted throw that more than a blanket, but a summer weight duvet similarly would work.

Duvets in good, clean condition can be given shops or shelters/shelters charity shops / economy as blankets be reused.

Those in less good condition can be converted into other beds as mattress toppers protectors/under blankets or pillows.

Any ideas on how recycling?
