Opt-out yellow pages

Want to to the yellow pages? Courtesy of @ Cleanbinproject today I learned that you can opt out of the yellow pages. Here is the link that was your Twitter after http://delivery.ypg.com/delivery/

Not only is the yellow pages use a whole heck of a lot of paper created, it is basically useless. Umm Google? It is a wonderful thing. Do you want a pizza? Go to Google maps, type in "Pizza in nearby my address" and presto, your answer.

Also, yellow pages and Canpages, are expensive to advertise. If you want an ad that makes impact need $1,000 spend each month (also that slow!) otherwise combined with all others will display in your category. Now, what is that?

Thirdly, weigh much (I have to weigh a handy but I have a question, the greater Twitter community via @ start recycling.) (If I were to guess, I about 2 KG say.) And what we burn all that fuel for our vehicles? Move the 150 lb driver? No! Fuel is burned, move the 1500 KG steel cage, that surrounds the 75 KG driver. (If you just want to move a body a 50cc scooter engine will work handy 60 Railway Office)

So, not only all these yellow pages print affects the environment (I was not able to find the number delivered in Vancouver but I expect to 100's thousands in the greater Vancouver area) only in the ink, paper, etc.. But remember the fuel burned necessary, move them to your delivery locations and then pick when you keep unread annual doors open etc. sat have. Then go lines sorted by people who went to work in the heated buildings on sorting and have from the cardboard out kept and then converted to a mill in pulp, transported and so on. This is one heck of a footprint vs. Googling "pizza" or "fresh start recycling".

Fresh start is numbers never advertise in the paper version of the yellow pages. It is not correct. It's bad for the environment, and we should accept this from our citizens.

Check out Miss 604's article about this from last year: http://www.miss604.com/2009/10/yellow-pages-custom-delivery.html I borrowed your image below.

How can I reuse or recycle old curtains?

We have an e-Mail Shannon had:

We have plenty of curtains from the days before we all were realized you naff! They are chintzy and are made of nylon or polyester or something. Do you have any recycling ideas?

If you are still in good condition, you could try to pass-ask on Freecycle Freegle or questions a charity shop, if you will take you (a charity shop with much furniture or furniture would be certain charity probably best if there is a nearby). Most charity shops have a "rag man" for items that accept but not sell-, so if you can sell, at least in the textile recycling cycle in this way would come.

If you are not good enough at State - pass and one wash you enough revive be better condition parts perhaps suitable for reuse or Upcycling.

Lee Meredeith - aka Leethal - lace Doilies as templates for the decoration plain frame for your wedding - if you could it parts NET with a nice design giving curtain, be used for something like this. I think I've seen, uses a similar method to clear jam jars recently-holder to decorate makes in shabby chic candle/turtle.

Or if there are focus point designs, those could cut out and use as Doilies for other craft projects - if there is not enough of the real thing outside where you are, this Snowflake of Doilies are an entertaining window decoration festive. Sticking with the substance stiffening are idea, these dishes to fun.

Any other suggestions?

How can I reuse or recycle Brussels Sprout stalks stems?

Long time has this recycle-he asked Lizzy on "The great Brussels Sprout stem thing":

Sprout any ideas for great Brussels shaft things? Oh, and can you eat the leaves, sometimes at the top?

I think the easiest thing to do here would be first and foremost - reduce shoots first and foremost not buy, you are horrible;)

If you do eat but it can be cooked apparently leaves like cabbage. I had success less find out something about the shaft when... Other stems in the Brassica family (like broccoli) can be eaten, so that it does not surprise me wouldn't if you could - eat no recipes found for doing so. Got anyone any ideas?

As for other reuse ideas play apparently love chickens with you picking all the last bits of sprouts. Does anyone know if other small animals (rabbits etc) could nibble at the shaft?

Any other ideas?

What can I reuse or recycle make advent calendar?

I started yesterday really advent this last week but nevermind question should have.

We do not celebrate Christmas, but I know that do one or two people around the world - and some of these people have advent calendar to open up to 25 on the run.

When I was a kid, I'm pretty sure my mom gave us the same calendar several years running, with the doors place - closed it properly no matter, because enjoyed at the opening the door to see what's behind him was enough. Then when I was my early youth in the early 1990s, chocolate advent calendar was suddenly cheap and widely available, the chocolate, rather than the drawing of the Bell or the reindeer was the target and the calendar suddenly was disposable.

But it must not be! There are some great examples of the creative - and reusable - advent calendars out there - like This spool advent calendar Kit from Cathedral Holden of just something I made - I think, something similar could by recycling be made from any kind of plastic tubing or even role toilet paper tubes set up if you have 24 cotton coils to the hand. I love the idea of having treasure hunt elements, the messages or with Christmas preparation activities tasks- or you stupid jokes to everyone get could be heated for your Christmas crackers.

I've also seen, some examples where people have gathered 24 boxes - could be, old packing lacquered or covered in paper as also numbered - and put together a countdown calendar with ample closet space. You would be filled with goodies or properly gifts tree foliage would – many children would love to decorate the structure one item at a time as each item is displayed. And days of the weekend with craft supplies, you have make a tree decoration could be filled.

And it has not strictly recycled, but I love Lucy's Advent wreath reusability of attic 24 – it could be recycled, reclaimed yarn or Upcycled, use you to sewn stars instead of crochet make).

You did everything a display calendar through reuse or recycling?

Or have you seen more great examples out and about on the Web?

All that i want in my stocking are wings of nature bars

Wings of nature together some healthy snacks for Wolf and I for example sent. Believe me say YUM! Three samples were sent: Cranberry crunch bar, almond raisin bar and espresso coffee bar. I tried the first two during Wolf sampled the third.

The bars are sweet, but not übermäig. This is because there no refined sugar. Rather, the bars are "organic Agave syrup and organic brown rice syrup sweetener according to the website and to our taste buds mixed with". Wolf neither I felt as if our blood sugar sky shot then crashed and burned as we with regular Granola E bars. The bars were no moist and yet crisp without teeth break chewy.

The bars are filled with healthy ingredients "gluten free, certified organic, low in sodium, [a] source of fiber, vegan/dairy free, cholesterol free, no GMOs, no trans fats, low Glycemic carbohydrates, no preservatives or additives, certified kosher, [and] vegetarian." I would have no problem to give them to children or people with sensitive diets.

The bars are versatile and easily put in a desk, purse or backpack for those times when you need a quick snack before dinner. Make a great stocking stuffer so consider, healthy snacks in the stockings love your crap instead of chocolate or other unhealthy "goodies" and cheap plastic.
